Savant, it's been a long time since I really kept track of current rules but I believe so. As an insider they have access to information not known to the public so disclosure of all stock transactions is important.

If they naked shorted shares along with selling their long shares after they naked shorted the shares thus giving them a bigger tax write off why couldn't they? No one knows the number of shares "NAKED SHORTED". They keep the money free and clear. They don't buy the shares and keep the transaction fees. NOOOOO, they keep the whole kit and kubudle.

It makes sense to me that the insiders of Bear Stearns naked shorted the stock way down and then sold their own personal real shares at huge losses. Then the government comes in and pays them again. I can see this, can't you?

It does make sense doesn't it? It is possible right? Maybe I'm not explaining what I mean correctly.

We don't get the report on naked short shares yet. We get legal short share reports but as of this time only the DTCC, SEC, CEDE and the banker/brokers know how many shares they are lacking.
