Maybe Immelt is smarter than I thought. Or maybe Jack Welch gave him an ear full. At any rate it appears GE is positioned to live another day.

The worse the credit situation gets, the more powerful GE will become against their competitors. GE does not need the Commercial Paper markets anymore. Name one competitor who can say that and I'll buy their stock here!
