It 'didn't have to be this way' yet it always is, too, for the fatal flaw in our society is that it is made up of humans.

I'm surprised a Michael Collins figure has not yet emerged. That, I believe, would be the activity that galvanizes people.

Tedious class action lawsuits would not.

Historically, all the signs of mass distress are ignored when the ruling class has completely decoupled, and as a result, social change erupts. What happened with the bailout shows that the ruling class has decoupled; and the necessity of the bailout shows that the financial class decoupled a long time ago.

Hence the AIG party hardy bus that seems incomprehensible to you and me but which is simply par for the course for those people.

I believe one candidate has the capacity to effect change, but I'm not convinced that a) he'll do it or b) he'll be allowed to do it. The other candidate does not have the capacity to effect the required change. Just so nobody misconstrues the odds on the former, I do *not* feel that it will happen in any meaningful way. That is, 10% versus 0% probability is how I'm viewing it.

<<They
showed us long term charts that did not factor in inflation or
reindexing and strongly implied long term investing is a can't lose
proposition.>> This has been a core center of the WS SCAM as they preached LTBH and averaging down.
If one every saw a chart of SPX index , for instance, corrected for inflation it would make LTBH loyalist have tremors on seeing they have been LIED to for decades. In short they will see they have been happen.
The exception to the rule is the individual investor LTBH with a brilliant obsession that started to buy a stock like MCD in the early 70s or even in the 60s.
The owner of the Carolina Panthers was a offensive guard way back for the L.A. Rams put his money month by month into MCD.
He later in life bought the Carolina NFL Franchise:) Max
