I think you make a very excellent point... McCain was not my primary choice, but he won the nomination, don't ask me how... I wanted Romney... certainly Huckabee, Romney, or Palin would have done a better job last night...

Disagree.

The best hope of stopping Obama is Governor and Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin.

Obama is a figure head for the leftist socialist machine and as some are declaring communist. The people he will bring in with him are of the same bent, the same ilk.

If that is what you want then vote for Obama and don't complain about McCain.

If you think McCain's solutions are wanting, then what do you think Obama's solution would be if elected---------there will not be a facet in your life that will not be controlled by Obama's government.

Look at Kenya, if you like what is happening in third world Kenya then yes vote for Obama------Kenya is not America.

I wonder how much of this mess is actually caused by the baby boomers.

Every step of the way, the boomers have turned our society upside down.

We've had the massive growth and prosperity through their earnings and consumer years...and now that they are retiring...the music stopped and we are all looking for a chair to sit down on.

By nature, this massive group of retirees will lean toward socialism in their later years.

I hope this explains why free markets and capitalism seems to be on the ropes right now...and it's not a long term shift in thinking.

Regardless, tough times coming as we adjust to the mother of all business cycle adjustments.

I see a lot of empty houses and strip malls in our future.
