My thought on this was since when does a sheriff decide whether he is going to do the job he is being paid to do. Whoever has the power should unemploy the guy and see if the assistant sheriff is feeling the urge to do the job.

Local government activism in defiance of written law has mushroomed as perceived liberal rights have taken precedence over law enforcement. Illegal immigration and gay marriage are prime examples of this in recent years. It appears evictions and foreclosures will now be taking the same path. If the rights of landlords and mortgage holders are not enforced and are in fact ignored, it will hurt these businesses further still. Of course the net result will make renting and purchasing housing more difficult.
