The U.S. is in an economic death spiral and can't afford to ride to the rescue of the entire planet.

The U.S. should only occupy or invade countries that are a direct threat or where they it has an economic interest in protecting the assets of a foreign land.

Don't delude yourself that you will be helping the people of Iraq or Iran by spreading democracy because that won't happen.
