My house is worth less now than a year ago. Will the Government compensate me for the loss?

Exactly--responsible, honest, conscientious citizens who struggle to pay their mortgage - but sacrifice and pay it nonetheless - have every right to feel outraged. If the imbeciles get government help, anyone who acquired a mortgage in the past 5 years should have their interest rate lowered or receive property tax exemption. Why reward only irresponsible behavior? What's another $25 Billion at this point.
