I suspect that the U.S. will continue down its socialist path. It will do it a little bit at a time. No revolution. Anything too drastics and the frogs will jump out of the pot.

Probably the best we can hope for is to hobble the government as much as possible to slow the process down.

But then again, maybe the right thing to do is to hurry the process up. The path toward socialism won't stop until we've had it for a while and it fails miserably as it has every other time in history.

Kind of the same philosophy as stocks, markets, addicts etc....
Don't try to catch a falling knife.
