No war is about wining a popularity contest. Wrong. Counter-insurgency wars are very much about which side the population supports. The only "strong horse" is a free and happy well fed horse. I was referring to a quote from Osama bin Laden. Google it.

No war is about wining a popularity contest. What's your point here, Po? Al Qaeda is beaten in Iraq. Sure, there is an occasional bombing, but our casulty list is the lowest it has ever been. Baghdad's monthly violent death toll would compare favorably now with Chicago's. Even Obama admits we have won. Please stop beating a dead horse here.
