The real economy, the money that was capitalized into a stock of capital stock of real capital: machinery, warehouses, airports, airplanes, container ships, oil wells, fiber optic routes, sugar cane fields, IT infrastructure, hydropower plants, harbors, roads, paper and pul mills, mobile networks, ethanol distilleries, refineries, aluminum smelters, mines, It is this stock of capital that will propel the economy to a next level. well said. this is what keeps me from believing in the next Great Depression. infrastructure. and the people willing and able to make it work. paper money is just that, a promise, a note for exchange. the trains will still run, the electricity will stay on, crops will still grow.... not saying it can't get bad, but people will just have to forgo the frivilous bs that didn't advance humans anyways. boo hoo.
