I don't know that he was actually a member of the party, but he accepted their endorsement.

OTOH an archived version of the parties site lists him as a member

But the newer versions do not.

I personally doubt he ever actually signed up for the party, but the information indicating he did seems at least as reliable as the information put forth by those claiming that not just Tod Plain but Sarah Palin was a member of the AIP. If we are supposed to believe such poorly supported rumors on one side, why not the other? (Personally I'd go for neither)
