i fear that what we are witnessing may take a decade or more to unwind fully, with obama in office it could take much longer, "recession" may not really describe what it will become.

You can make up any definition you want in your universe but in this one there is a textbook definition. It's 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth. Q3 may be the first, we'll know when the numbers come out.
