I totally agree with you. They have screwed the saver/individually investor royally. If Obama throws in the 28% capital gains rate it will be lights out. There will be little reason to invest or save. Outside of the government approved tax deferred plans. Gold is easily controlled by either central bank selling, levying higher taxes on gains from it (already 28%) or plain confiscation.
