McCain's reliance on Phil Gramm as chief economic adviser, and selection of Sarah Palin as running mate, eliminated any chance of me voting for the man. As I correctly saw GWB as a dangerously stupid and destructive man eight and four years ago, you bet I voted for Gore and Kerry. The latter vote surprised even me since Kerry spoke at my graduation in 1998, and I so disliked the fact that he made an hourlong stump speech in searing heat (fully two years before the election) that I vowed never to vote for the man. Yet my revulsion for GWB changed all that. My favorite GWB bumper sticker: FRAT BOY DRIVES COUNTRY INTO DITCH. That sticker was funnier before the message came true.
