Aren't you glad Bush invested your SS in the stock market? Oh wait.....he never managed to pull that one off. I guess there is a God after all. Actually it would have done well, because I would have treated it the same as my major account, which I had started switching to bonds well before the melt down. It went up about 150% in the last four or five years, now it is up well over 100% and is now only about 15% in stocks. I may switch to all bonds tomorrow. Actually I would have done worse on the Bush plan because it would have put most of it in bonds when my account was 100% stocks and rising fast.
