Thoughtful answers. Thank you. On women's rights you may be more attuned than I, a mere male. On the security issue... someone asked me a few days after 9/11 if I thought there were more attacks to come... if I thought it was safe to go to the Salt Lake City Olympics. My answer then, after some thought, was... Osama executed a lengthly and well planned effort to exploit glaring loopholes in basic air transport security. I doubted he had the capability to plan and execute other sophisticated attacks within the United States in the near and intermediate future. We'll never know if I was right or stepped up security measures prevented further attacks. Is he planning others? Probably. Will draconinan security measures help? I doubt it. Time and again we learn of attacks prevented by basic everyday security... the California bombings prevented by alert border guards in Washington State. The Orlando Customs official who denied entry to a 9/11 hijacker. The Arizona and Minnesota FBI agents who warned about arabic speaking men who wanted to learn to fly, but not land, jets. Future terrorists will involve small cells that will use, but be cautious in the use of any form of electronic communication or electronic financial media. The wiretapping and gee whiz stuff won't be much help there, I'm afraid. Will you give the next president 9 months grace, as you did Bush by blaming Clinton, should America be attacked again? With respect to health care, we spend by far the most of any nation on health care, but is the quality there? The WHO rankings are subject to some dispute but in 2007 the USA ranked... 37th.
