I think you assume that because they are intelligent they will necessary be better. An intelligent person who pursues the wrong policies will not help this country. Look at it this way Hitler was intelligent, Stalin was intelligent, Mao was intelligent and the list goes on. Before someone accuses me of comparing Obama or Biden to Hitler, please understand that is not my intent. It is to illustrate the point. I think that if the country's leaders want to pursue the right policies, they will have plenty of intelligent people available to them to help fulfill their agenda. Look at Reagan, he was not perceived as bright, but in terms of advancing his agenda, he was the most successful of modern day presidents.

For all of the talk about voting the issues I have heard nothing that passes for intelligent discourse about any of these "issues" which are being advanced, most of which by the way will be abandoned the day after the election.

I can't remember where I read it, but supposedly, Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan had agreed to rent a plane and travel from city to city and debate each other on various issues. No talking points, no trash talk, just discuss their vision for America and defend that vision.

Ask yourself this do you know what McCain's vision is? Do you know waht Barak's vision is?

Other than to win, I sure as hell don't.
