This is what he posted on the moderated thread yesterday. Actually if you read the pages you link to you will discover that the state and metro numbers are simply adjusted to match the national GDP calculation. In fact the metro numbers are not calculated independently at all but are simply assigned a portion of State GDP based on various demographic factors. Pretty much everyone I know expects the Q2 number to be adjusted down, the Q3 number to show negative growth and the Q4 number to be godawful.
