Geode, the issue I would like to hear more about is the quality of presidential appointments. I think one of the reasons why Clinton did well is that he appointed competent and considerate people to the various arms of government, this compared to the Bush-Cheney policy of appointing political hacks to key positions. The Bush-Cheney hacks performed more to the political wants and needs of the administration rather than to the wants and needs of a constructive, well-functioning government. I'm aghast to think who McCain would appoint, especially to the Supreme Court.

Another consideration is the clear fact that Democrats are poised to trounce in Congressional races. The last thing America needs at a cruicil time like this is a Republican president unable to pass anything due to a filibuster-proof Congress. Far better to clean house and hope Democrats can salvage America from the mess of 28 years of GOPwingers vs. 12 years of Democrats in the presidency. There is no GOPwinger vision of leadership for America, and I think voters today understand this!
