Yes and no. McCain has yet to play the "race" card. He's been hinting at it and as his situation gets worse, that becomes a last chance option.

I don't think he wants to go there just yet, but the Rev Wright image is much more frightening to the majority of undecideds than Ayers. That would really register with the base and get them moving on the ground.
