Thanks, hadn't seen the latest McDep report. I usually check Sundays. Surprised and dismayed last week to read in his latest public posts of his early September suspension of buy recommendations on all of his stocks. (Suspended due to market volatility he said). Five were quickly reinstated as buys: COP, STO, PTR, DVN, COSWF. I have shares in all (Although...rightly or wrongly, I've sold down positions of STO and DVN (taking losses).

I am posting the PBR and BG Group drill well map discussed in the latest McDep report titled "Deep Water Brazil". I posted the link to the McDep report in message #32422 (http://www.mcdep.com/mr80916.pdf )

Here is what they conclude from the article:

"...We believe in the long-term appeal of energy investments. Meanwhile, in a press release last week, Petrobras estimated recoverable reserves of 3 to 4 billion barrels at Yara (65% PBR, 25% BG) (see map, page 2, from PBR disclosures). Combined with last year’s estimate of 5 to 8 billion barrels at nearby Tupi (65% PBR, 25% BG), the range of total recoverable reserves has a midpoint of 10 billion barrels. That is enough to support a million barrels a day from the ten platforms PBR has ordered for delivery in 2013 to 2016..."

There should be plenty of time in the next several months to accumulate shares (at a significant value) of companies that will directly benefit from the build out and production of these wells.

Here are just a few names of companies that are selling for 50% less that just a few months ago. They may get cheaper over time but I do know that the demand for their services in the future will be big.

There are probably many other companies too. The value proposition increased substantially with the recent sell off over the last two weeks.

Disclosure - I have a position in all of these companies and was buying more today.
