i saw the dow up 300 at about 3:40pm. They went to commercial on tv and within minutes it was down to minus 165. Have never seen anything like it. My theory is that the institutions who were forced to sell dumped at the close. Bad news is that it stopped the rally in its tracks. Good news is that the market didnt extend those losses and that the stock sold now is in stronger hands. Folks with cash started accumulation today. Any whif of good news over the weekend and we should see another rally. I know its not PC but for just this once, we should make columbus day a world wide market holiday to give those bureaucrats an extra day.
