It's tomorrow and we're on the road. We play Middleton and they're undefeated as well so the game is getting some attention. It's kind of crazy because we're only talking about 4th grade kids but its being billed as the 4th grade, feeder league Super Bowl(feeder league means each team represents a High School in the Big 8 and these are the core group of kids they're prepping for Varsity ball in 7 years). It's being played at the High School stadium and we even have announcers for the game LOL!! This is so cool! I pulled all the kids aside tonight and told them we haven't lost or given up a point all year and it's not going to change tomorrow. Then I informed them that the other team didn't think we were that good and they're saying they're going to blow us out. Of course I lied but the greater good will be served if they can bottle it up and come out with some fire. I can't wait - this is going to be so fun! I'll tell ya this much - there was NEVER the kind of attention for a game I played at this age. It's really exciting for everyone. So, the first goal is to win tomorrow. IF we do we win the championship because Middleton and Memorial are the only 2 undefeated teams. The second goal for tomorrow is to not give up any points since we haven't been scored on all year. Our average score has been like 24-0. After we do those two things we can look ahead to our final game next week where we face a team that's 1-4. We've never run the table and the lowest amount of points we've ever given up was around 40 over the course of 7 games. The team we play tomorrow is REALLY GOOD! I haven't seen them play but I've heard they play a mean brand of football. This is SO GREAT for the kids to play a game that's like playing on a stage. I'm going to round up the parents before the game and IF we win I'm going to get the dad's to run out and carry the boys off the field on our shoulders. This would be a threepeat is we can win tomorrow (3 championships in a row). They all know how important this is and that their mothers wont love them if they lose LOL - I'm just teasing. This was me with some of the kids when we won the championship in flag football last fall. This picture was only circulated among the parents - the kids didn't see it. We have a great core group of parents - no thought police in this group
