And I would add good ideas. If you want to see examples of intelligence used to advance bad ideas, all you need do is look at the current batch of politicos. They offer either platitudes or bad ideas. I believe this is because they are not looking for solutions but votes.

What could be a better example than the two health plans advanced by the parties. McCain's is incomprehensible and it seems to me that if we can't pay for medicare and prescription drugs we can't pay for Obama's plan. Just looks like another unfunded liability to me. I would add that for all the press coverage and the debates and the news, there has been very little substantive discussion of the merits of the two approaches.
