If so, then it would make sense to short the stock when you write that Put... but, when it became forbidden to short stock, then those Put writers were already trapped... again, the government's "no shorting" rule only made things worse...<g>

With the settling of LEH's poison at 90%, costing $270 bn, I am afraid settling the entire dung heap will cost at least twice as much. Probably more.

IMO...Options are big with funds and traders....

But the real big crap are the CD's..for which there is no market and that is what is taking the Banks Down...And so the banks, IB's are raising margins to take the Traders and funds down....

I do agree with Vi, that there will be a bank holiday...For how long is the real question. Big difference between a 2 day and 5 day bh....BWDIK
