One more thing. Citibank took a major hit trying to help out the US in the Wachovia deal. Wells took advantage of a change in accounting rules to swoop in and buy Wachovia. Thus citi should be the first bank that gets a govt infusion of cash thru the purchase of stock. Citibank wont fail and as bad as things are there, i think their stock at these prices is a screaming buy for younger folks building a portfolio. I think i will do some switching on monday and put some money into citi.

I thought WFC offered a better deal for both shareholders and the American taxpayer. I think that's why they got the deal. Citi is not the best bank.......they needed WB as much as WB needed them. Besides....C has moved on.....I understand that the merger plans between MS and C are back on.
