Crowe was quoted as knowing the slant. Said he didn't care. Went for the big bucks, I guess. His fee was about 10 million.

Most of Crowe's films, the most notable of which is Gladiator, have a powerful HONOR component. His character either pursues honor to his own destruction or contrasts with a character who does that.

Playing in a film that dishonors honor is inexcusable.

I will not be seeing this film.
