It is possible that we will end up with a Dem majority in Congress as well as with the WH and can stack the SC for decades. That would also mean the end to massive tax breaks for the wealthy and more breaks going to those who will actual put it to work in the economy. That could backfire on the Bushies.

I was kind of hoping for the McCain health care rout because that looked like it would scare people into voting for nationalized health care. Still, since we are up to our eyeballs in massive debt we have to cut somewhere. Where better than to make the 16-20% of GDP that goes into health care much more efficient?

Lobbyists from the financial industry are actually out in force in Washington to prevent 'onerous' regulations on them.

Are they bloody kidding? AIG spent half a million on a junket a few days after getting their first bailout. It is ridiculous that these people are still this arrogant.

IMO, some of the libor stuff is purely made up extortion.
