RtS, Looks like the theory presented by AI matches quite nicely with what you pointed out in your earlier chart today, ie, the low in the NDX in the fall of 01(wave 3 in AI's review), then a bounce in the NDX to the end of 01(wave 4 in AI's review) and then a further drop in NDX to Oct 02(wave 5 in AI's review).

With the S&P bottoming just above 840 on Friday, it is hard to imagine a large sell off on the wave 5 leg of the downtrend. Dropping back to 600 as an example would take the average back to the 1996 era as shown by AI's chart. Not a pleasant thought.
