Geoff, They're heavily weighted towards democrats because they are reflecting reality. The percentage of those identifying themselves as democrats has risen sharply. If you want some really detailed discussion of poling, check out this website: fivethirtyeight.com It's run by self-identified democrats, but they publish their figures and methodology in full, so you might learn something. All polls have a margin of error, but right now we are beyond that. If anything, I believe they might be underestimating Obama's support. Nigel
