U-Store-It Trust (YSI) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.07 per share today, a 180% improvement over the $0.025 paid each of the last eight quarters. This is the first dividend hike given by the self-storage REIT since cutting its payout by 86% two years ago.

Shares of YSI closed at $8.98 (-0.22%) today, where they now carry a 3.12% dividend yield.

NB&T Financial Group, Inc. (NBTF) gave its shareholders a 3.4% raise, declaring a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per share. This was the first dividend hike since early 2008 for the financial holding company, which is the parent of The National Bank and Trust Company.

Shares of NBTF closed at $22.50 today, where they now have a 5.33% dividend yield.

Prior to holding its payout flat for the last 11 quarters, NB&T had raised its dividend in eight consecutive years.
