The way I look at SteveG is that he is a very knowledgeable person on the internet/phone companies/backbone and he has a hard time 'not' saying something to rile up people. Whatever. Sticks and stones...

On the other hand, he seems to be the biggest bear here on Amati (at least the loudest) but when he talks about initial ADSL deployment, he ACTUALLY thinks like most here, surprisingly...

1. He has said, << I think we could see a contract this year. But unless they have the kinks worked out of C6X, I doubt we'll see deployments until '98. >>

2. And he thinks LU might acquire WSTL/AMTX bc they have to cover their bases.
