better coordination in EU, giving the ECB broader authority and Gulf States who play with the idea of a Gulf currency on top of this return to rhetoric of irresponsible US conduct - this will not be overnight but failure of the US market to stabilize will hasten the process

But then again old habits die hard - and not sure that any other arrangement will be better
