Don't know that I'd be snapping up expensive grain. I'd be giving away the animals that are worth nothing. Hate to say this because it can cause some folks serious indigestion but there are a lot of bull calves that are getting whacked in the head at birth right now. SIL shipped a bull and a heifer calf to market 2 weeks ago and ended up with a bill for trucking. Can't afford to feed them and still have them worth nothing and you can't ship them and even pay the trucking there aren't a lot of other options left.
