If this is the kind of blind alley some are pursuing just three weeks from an election that could possibly be a major realignment in US politics, during a major national crisis unseen for decades before, then I can't say I am surprised. That's how major realignment elections come to happen.

As for Obama being "more forthcoming," I'd say that he has nothing to hide, nor has he hidden anything. His Hawaiian birth certificate is valid, as confirmed by two independent sources. Having been born in the United States, he is a citizen. Period. The citizenship of his father isn't germane to the issue. The fact that some people have decided to create an issue where none exists isn't Obama's responsibility. - Allen
