By the way, the hedge fund manager cited in the previous article was generally known to be a widely followed poster here on this very website. Hedge fund managers like Daniel Loeb, of Third Point Management—which is being probed by the SEC for potential market manipulation of financial stocks—have admitted in court to posting under various pseudonyms to drum up information on companies. Several other posters have been indicted or accused in recent years of bashing or boosting stocks for their own (or others') profit.
