Its means you need to stop asking questions that are hard to answer.

It's amazing to me how they can look at a mountain of a problem and pick out a pebble that fits their ideology and be convinced that the pebble was what created the mountain.

They do the same with oil dependency and drilling the OCS.

I am trying to figure out how they function in their jobs. Do they leave the ideology at the door, or does it become part of the workplace and the way they do their jobs?
