Were you aware that English has the biggest vocabulary of any language? I think some Latin study is a great thing, as is Bible study. So much of English has Latin roots, and the whole legal system is founded on Latin. You need a "history of the bible" course because so much of our literature contains references that would be blank to you if you were not familiar with the Bible. The seafaring roots of many words is also interesting.

Latin is a good boot camp for the brain. Memorizing things is healthy. Math and problem solving are definitely more beneficial in the long run.
