This isn't advice I would ever offer someone as a normal rule. I wouldn't even say it in jest. But having lost a vacation home and having to deal with adjusters I'm convinced you should lie, cheat and steal and do every immoral thing you can think of to try and get one over on them. If you succeed in sneaking 50% of your stuff past them you will then only take a minor ass beating instead of a major one.

I'm convinced that adjusters know within moments exactly how much the damage is worth and their pay is based on a percentage of what they screw you out of.
