The voters do not take their responsibilities seriously. They grab onto the spin of their party and vote accordingly. As Kenneth wrote, it is far better to have the power split between the White House and the Hill, and that is absolutely true...yet the old team thing keeps popping up and voters go for their party instead of wanting the checks and balances which give us better government. The democrats 4 years from now will face corruption charges just as the republicans did because they are politicians and will be bought as we know they are...and after the most irresponsible spending spree is analyzed, people will want change...again. It starts with us getting better people and not voting the likes of McCain and Obama to be party leaders. That is ridiculous. I cannot believe it either.
