If anyone thinks that switching from Ayers to Wright somehow accomplishes to change this, then I just respectfully disagree.

Steve, to repeat, I'm not arguing this. I do agree, however, that by extension, Kristol sort of is but it's far from his central point. That's to let McCain be McCain. Get rid of his campaign managers.

And, so says Kristol, by the way, for a little extra points, he could bring up the Wright stuff. Not a game changer in Kristol's view; just a bit of extra punch.

I don't think any of this will work for McCain. Too late in the game; too many perceptions are now settled. His only hope is some extraneous event. God knows what that might be.
