As far as Tim is concerned, the only solution to any problem are the free markets. I don't have quite that narrow a perspective. If you read about the politics during the Great Depression, the free market was on life support. FDR was far from the most radical element during that time, in fact he was doing his best to salvage as much of the previous system as possible. We might be in such a time again. I guess I don't share your fears that the American economy will no longer be capitalistic. I am more upset that taxpayer money is needed to resolve the problems that some greedy assholes created. It also bothers me how overextended the country is financially. I don't live my life that way and I hate that the country in which I live is not as frugal. However, I don't see these moves as ending our current economic system. Now that may be due to ignorance on my part........
