mindmeld, forget about the partisan article and look at one simple thing:

Overall, Sen. Obama's middle-class tax cuts are larger than his partial rollbacks for families earning over $250,000, making the proposal as a whole a net tax cut and reducing revenues to less than 18.2% of GDP -- the level of taxes that prevailed under President Reagan.

Revenues will be decreased to less than 18% of GDP.

We are seeing a spending spree like never before. Obama wants to spend $300,000,000,000 more he just announced. The books do not balance...unfortunately, people vote for a party instead of looking at plans and understanding them.
