Thank you for your reply. If I recall an article from Newsweek, Stephen Hayes is a rather conservative fellow who has been selected as official biographer for Dick Cheney. In an interview with the national revview two points he made stand out:

Bin Laden has dissed Saddam several times. And I would certainly never argue that they were buddies. It was an on-again, off-again relationship based, as Bayh says, on mutual exploitation and a common enemy.

Hayes: Well, Isikoff is a very good investigative reporter and I have long respected his work. We simply disagree on much of this. Intelligence reporting is quite subjective, of course, and lends itself to various interpretations.

As Hays stated, intellegence reporting is quite subjective.

All things considered, I'd say my post listing conclusions from the US Senate, Rumsfeld and Powell are more accurate than the conclusions of a conservative writer who is reported to be in line for a paycheck from Dick Cheney.

I don't see a way to reconcile our views, but may your team do well in the playoffs. Namaste.
