Caribou is really tasty. As are most wild meats/fish I find. Venison, Moose, partridge, speckled trout, inland salmon etc. I like Moose best. Partridge I find I have to be fairly hungry for in a soup. Few restaurants serve Caribou in Canada but it is worth looking for.

13 million ounces at a profit is great. At a loss, not so great. I am prejudiced because of my experience with the first Detour Lake. There are lots of examples of the second guy in being successful. Also lots of examples of the opposite.

I have not had caribou meat since I was a kid. I like both moose and elk, but prefer whitetail deer to all of the above. Mule deer is native to Montana but white tails are encroaching and they want to cut down on numbers. Extra tags available for $7. Whitetail hang out at lower elevations in the hay fields so not as wild a taste as muleys.
