Yes, but there is a lot of evidence that two parent families are more likely to be successful than single parent families. And if you think about it, it only makes sense. Two heads, better than one, ability to share parenting, more income, etc. Most of the literature, I have read suggests that waiting to marry and then having children is the most likely path to success.

Think about, this is the structure that has proven successful for thousands of years. Must be some reason why it has been around so long.
