Well, not really.

DEFRA did slow down some of the provision of ERTA once ERTA had gone into effect and already started turning the economy around.

But it was quite limited as I recall -- for example, theis is when we first got 18-year recovery periods for real estate (versus 15-year recovery periods under ERTA). And there was some flattening of the Income Averaging technique.

What is important, however, is that DEFRA did not approach giving back what was gained in ERTA.
