The right convinced itself there simply HAD to be more to Whitewater than Bill Clinton said, so a in comes a special prosecutor who spent several years and $100 million to prove that Clinton got a blow job and... gasp... the HORROR... lied about it! Then the right convinced itself that Saddam was hiding WMD. A thousand UN inspectors couldn't find any and even challenged the US... you say you know Saddam has WMD, tell us how and where and we'll find them. No... we had ti start a war over WMD, spend a $900 billion, suffer 20,000 dead and wounded and not a single WMD. The right then convinced itself that the justification for the war was really Saddam's "ties to bin Laden". Only childish fools like me, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, the 9/11 Commission and a Select Senate Committe believe no credible links exist. The right has now somehow managed to convince itself that Obama is lying about his crossing paths with a washed up terrorist. Obama discussed and explained his relationship to Ayers to the satisfaction of Hillary, the New York Times and every other reasonable person, and, presumably the nation's security agencies which hold top secret briefings for presidential candidates. But Ann and Diz and the rest of the rightwing know better! Obama pals around with terrorists! Explain yourself, Obama! You lie! Any wonder why the more the right screams the more America yawns and tells pollsters "Obama's OK"? And poor John McCain. He sold his heart to the rightwing to get the nomination and then his soul by selecting Sarah Palin... His campaign runs ads saying we can't trust Obama - while he's telling folks that Obama is a good man and they don't need to be "scared" of an Obama presidency.
