<Its not just a matter of saying it, its recognizing and describing the reality.>

But you can't describe reality... words are linear. As with anything... a beautiful sunset, new life, science, etc. the description already losese the 'essence' of what it is. You can certainly describe the cell after fertilization as a "new member of homosapien" if you want... but then where the rubber meets the road in the abortion issue is "what does that mean".

<You have a new life form, still dependent, but an individual.>

I could just as truthfully (IMHO more truthfully... but that's just opinion... another metal construct) say that the new life is NOT an individual.... but, at that point still, "part of" the mother... they aren't separate.

In fact one could construe if one is too "reductionist" trying to give identity or "separatness" that the mothers body, as a normal course of it's own life, "kills" many "babies" (1 in 5?). Of course that wouldn't make any sense... the womans body "knows" about the viability of itself and ""it's"" "potential" new life.

So the womans body "knows" (and is in charge of?") best.

Of course, again, these are all words... but that's all we got.
