whats really amazing is that in the old issues of "the Economist" from 1992, Europeans and other world citizens were actually really upset that Clinton won over George HW Bush. Bush I was very popular on the world stage and had handled the first Iraq war well. Of course Clinton redeemed himself with everybody in the 90s. But the international disdain for republicans pretty much started with the ridiculous Clinton Impeachment imho, and got much much worse with Bush and the neocons.

Sandra Day O'Connor was also appointed by Reagan.

Mindmeld, Reagan brought the neo cons into the party. I have read he later kicked them out, but the damage was done.

They were entrenched.
